PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE

September 2001-current--Dogumentarian and general freelance photography.

September 1999 to August 2001 -- Staff photographer, San Francisco Chronicle (450,000). Hired to work in expanding bureaus covering both local and regional stories. Working out of their Oakland office I covered all types of stories including; expanded coverage of Jerry Brown's new military academy, traveled to Arizona for baseball spring training, Southern California for the crash of Alaska Airline flight 261, Detroit for an in-depth story on urban casinos and Denver for Raiders vs. Broncos Monday night football game.

December 1992 to September 1999 -- Staff photographer Contra Costa Newspaper Group (190,000). A chain of five Knight-Ridder newspapers, the Contra Costa Times, West County Times, Valley Times, San Ramon Valley Times and the Ledger Dispatch.

January 1987 to December 1992 -- Freelance photographer. Mainly working for two newspapers, the Contra Costa Times and the Ledger Dispatch. Other publications I worked for include The Freelance, Brentwood News, San Ramon Valley Times, Valley Times, Contra Costa Sun and Associated Press.
